wrap up...

I feel like I got a lot done this week, despite being sick.
Once I got everything done that I HAD too for Christmas, I got excited to finish a bunch of things that have been collecting dust.... and to start a little something new...(above)
All my unfinished little blocks, squares from scraps...It's all going into this kitchen sink quilt.... Whatever is laying around here, will go into this scrappy quilt....

All ready for binding....

Bind.....

Bindings set.

Flimsy finished...(FINALLY! ....WOO HOO!!)

B stayed home again today, coughing like mad...
But thankfully she was well enough yesterday to make it to her School Holiday Sing along...
Her school makes bags for Gods Love we Deliver, so that they can distribute food to the folks who need, using the bags our school decorate. Until we give them the bags, the decorate our meeting house... Isn't it fun? It fills the room & hearts with love.

Have a lovely weekend!
Happy Sewing!

It's raining, it's pouring....

And the stockings were hung....

Xmas decor complete...inside and out...

So now that i have most of my Xmas stuff done, I am trying to finish some projects around here...

I have 2 more of the 9 tile blocks finished, I think I have 3 left... I just love them...

These are percolating in my brain, trying to think of something to do with these...

And I dug this quilt top out from the summer. I had put it away for a couple reasons,

one was, I couldn't get nice borders cut at my house... I had no room... I had done two on it and they were not cut right,
So I need to redo the borders,

and the second reason was, I was scared to applique the bits on...

But, now that I've got some applique under my belt,
I am ready to tackle finishing this quilt...
It's been nagging me for a while, and I really want this one done. It's a favorite of mine...
time to make it a finish...

It's a rainy day here... So we are laying low.... Hope you've had a lovely weekend!

monday

Ok! I get to sew ALL DAY! WOO HOO! wow.

So here I sit working on the Red Cross Swipe Quilt.

Don't mind my WHITE TAPE marks! It's up , and it works! ;-)
I know these colors were not favorites with many of you.
But I dug my heals in...

The three main colors of red, turq, and gold,
well,
perhaps I should rename this quilt,
The childhood memory home quilt. (but that's so long!)
Because these are the main colors that decorated the house I lived in for my first three years. I am quite drawn to them.
But really, I am so pleased with the way this is turning out. I just need to finish the blend pieces of the red and turq, and a few applique bits...

I'm also playing with this scrappy happy quilt.... I Still don't know what I'm doing with this... I keep changing it constantly. the only thing I know for sure is the minty green with white polka dot background.
But it looks nice laying on my lawn!

Well, enough break. Let's see what i can do with this thing...
