play detour

Geese in a row
11"X14"
my 15 minutes of play went a little overboard today...
I wanted to try something new like raw edge applique...
then I couldn't stop til it was done...

oh well, it's been one of those days...
So many things to do, don't know where to begin...
SO I did something completely off track...

Ever have a week like that?

Perhaps I need to take this approach instead...
roll around in a happy place, and come up with a big smile on my face!
to bad I don't have a tail to wag!

Victoria!
Seriously, do you ever sleep? wish I was as prolific today :(
Instead I chose to clean the house... it REALLY needed little TLC.
Love the geese in a row!

like the raw edge...took me a minute to realize it wasn't pieced!

The background on this is just beautiful and I really love the "flying geese" on the goose neck. Really, really beautiful!

So 15 minutes became.......? It's gorgeous! Great background, great composition!

Wish I could do as Jenny Egg and her bud do, too!

Beautiful! :) Although, to me it looks more like a swan! :) Wish I could just whip something like that out... YOu have amazing talent! :)

That sounds like a good approach to me! It's probably good that you don't have a tail to wag. LOL! our geese turned out great.

Hey V, Don't let the fact that you don't have a physical tail stop you from wagging your virtual tail. It has never stopped me! The Goose is amazing.
Were your dogs on your quilt top because you were on the phone so long this morning? Looks like you did get focused. Have a good evening!

Love the goose very clever putting the flying geese pieces on him.

Fusing is addictive and it is a great break from piecing and matching up seams like you have been doing and doing and doing.

Love the buddies on the quilt. There is something about quilts and pets...they just need to get hands on!

What a great piece! How long did it actually take you?

Your play time proved to be very inspiring. I know I often quilt to avoid the things I REALLY need to do....why is that?

Love your geese and the great imagination....I got off track this week when I finished my cow quilt and I was over 2 inches off of the bottom from the top....what? Oh well, I am going to blame the photographer, please do not tell anyone.....

Love the goose and geese - will you send it in for the Bernina contest??? Those little puppies look like they are having fun and I'm sure if you had a tail, it would thump 1000 times per second - you are amazing!!
