Old things

Ok, I think this is my oldest piece of sewing... I found this
recently...

Can you guess aprox what decade it's from?

Mauve, green, flowers...

ScreAms 80's doesn't it?

I believe I hand pieced this when I was about 15... It has some super
puffy poly batting and I only half quilted it...

Oh, to be 15 again.

NOT!!!

Oh no not 15 again, ever!! It's nice to look back and see how far we've come though, tangible evidence that we have improved ;o)

Wow, fifteen feels like a million years ago! That quilt sure is something though.

What a wonderful treasure that you still have this! I don't think I own anything from when I was 15. And what a difference to see how your style has changed! Thanks for sharing!

Yikes! Nope, I would NOT be 15 again. I teach high school and see the drama every day.

Now 25... I'd do that again!

Ooh, it's sweet! Even then you were using color and value in a very sophisticated way. I wish I still had some of the things I sewed when I was 15. Lucky girl!

I don't care to repeat age 15 again but how nice to have a craft you did then. I didn't even know how to sew until I was in my 30s.

We all started somewhere - you just have the proof of where you started. So fun to be able to see the starting point.

Hey V, 15 again? Not for love nor money! Have a great weekend and if you pass anybody on the highway be sure to wave at them for me!
