S N O W !

Before and after...

The doggies couldn't get outside!
The snow is how it used to be when I was a kid in MN...
you'd wake up and not be able to get out your front door...

I'm a tall gal, and the snow is over my knees... That's about 25"...
And it's still snowing....
Long Island was supposed to get less than NYC... !!!
but of course that changed!

Now how do I get from Long island back to NYC?
;-)

Fun winter driving!

Ahhh! Just like the good old days

Stay warm!

WOW you guys really got hit. I haven't ventured out yet, but it looks like the roads are clear in the city. Travel safe! We are here and if B wants a playdate with B, give us a call! Merry Xmas!!

Wow, I envie you - please send some due West: I need more snow for x-county skiing. We barely have an inch or 2 here in SE Michigan. Stay safe!

We didn't get nearly as much as you. Although they were predicting about 15". We got about 5, big difference. Looks like you are having a great time.

Oh wow that's really a lot of snow! There are so many beautiful snow photos in blogland at the mo. Of course we never get snow in our city, too warm. I think our big girls have only been in it once! It does look lovely but it's too cold for me. I'll just enjoy looking at it.

I was wondering if you can beets? I'm looking for a recipe but I won't need it for a while as they are still teeny tiny!

Beautiful photos! We watered yesterday because it got so hot in the middle of the day. How fun to have a white Christmas. Can you just hear Bing singing?

What fun! Reminds me of waist-deep snow in the wintery plains of Illinois when I was growing up. You know how to drive in the stuff, but not everyone on the road does, so drive defensively dear.

Looks like you're making the best of it - isn't it a hoot to watch dogs and kids in the snow? They make it almost enjoyable!

We got the tail end of this -- just 2 or 3 inches! Hoping for more!

Heavens! I don't think I have ever seen snow like that in England. We have a few inches here just now and my 2 dogs are digging and chasing through it. I loved to see your dogs and your little girl enjoying it so much! Take care..

Wow! Look at all that snow! It's looks just beautiful. As much as I can hate the MN winters, it's still fun to get snowed in during a big snow storm . . . this reminds me of those days.

Islip got hit hard...you were probably not far from me. I did not leave the house. Sat at my sewing machine and occasionally looked out the window at the kids. I love the Chinese New Year quilt. The colors are awesome! You have till mid Feb to finish it!!!
