Things that inspire me today....
(above quilt inspired by thoughts of her)
Feels like Grandma's house quilt
My grandmother,
her quilts
and
Which has inspired most
of my work as an artist
The Mighty Mississippi that runs down the side of Minnesota...
and through her town
and through her town
And Charlie Pride Singing Roll on Mississippi....
She would have been 92 today.
Happy Birthday Grandma!
What inspires you today?

I love a Bathtub Mary! It just makes ya smile! Have a great weekend!
I just wrote my post today and talked about inspiration. Also, I have nominated you for an award for inspiring me to experiment with color.
What inspires me today? Well, if my front door wasn't literally frozen shut I would be heading out to cook some NOLA recipes passed to me by my sister-in-law's family.
Truly, today, the selflessness of others is what is inspiring me. Part of a larger project that in only the first day raised over $20,000 for emergency relief in Haiti.
On the home front The Monster was inspired by PBS and we'll be making applesauce shortly.
LOVE the bathtub Mary! I can see WHY that would inspire you! Here's to your Grandma's BIRTHDAY!
I always love to honor those who came before.
I'm sure, given the bathtub Mary, your grandma would be equally as proud of your as you are of her :) And what a birthday celebration it is! What inspires me today, is relief the weekend will bring. To breath, and exhale and rest. Happy weekend V!
Great inspiration and sentiment for your grandmother.
What a sweet Grandma and what sweet memories! Thanks for taking us along on a memory.
What a great post and tribute to your grandmother. My mother will be 92 on Valentines Day! It is amazing to hear her stories.
LOvely post. Thank you for sharing your memories.
Havr a great weekend.
Oh - and what inspired me? Went to the LQS and got some lovely French sized FQ's. Couldn't resist!
That was me who deleted my own comment - I wanted to know what a bathtub Mary was, but now that your photos have finally loaded, I see what it is.
My grandmother was my biggest influence because she taught me to use a sewing machine and gave me her wonderful sense of color. She's there somewhere in all of my work.
My grandmother was a great influence in my life (she lived with us) and one of the major reasons I love sewing (she was a seamstress). Your creations are a great tribute to her. She inspired great things.
