Wednesday post early

two Posts in one day.... Crazy, I know.
BUT!

I couldn't wait to show you.
I think my husband thought I was crazy.
I asked my daughter before I painted it, if we could put it in her room.
She said, NO WAY! YOU FOUND THAT ON A ROAD!
Even though the girl loves yard sales!

Sanded, primed, painted, and distressed.
I used paint that I already had. My GARAGE is actually painted this color!

I'm thinking, I'll keep it.
Do ya think whoever dropped on the side of the road
would like it back?
Tough Luck.
Now I need to go sew something for it out of that
FaBuLoUs Jennifer Paganelli loopy Vintage Floral fabric...

I put it in my entry way under the stairs... to go with my $15 yard sale antique mirrors.

It sort of matches the cross art!
Now maybe I will paint that unpainted handrail... sigh* It's only been three years!

That looks great and I love the color. You remind me of one of my aunt's. We would be driving along and she would say stop! We would have to get out and pick up whatever was on the side of the road.

Oh Wow, how fast are you and yes, I think the original owners would now be very sorry they let it get away!!! Fabulous makover, I love that colour (love the matching cross too!) xo

Nice job on the dresser! What are you going to make with that pretty fabric to go with the dresser?

Cool! When my kids see furniture by the road, they slum down in their seats, because they know I will be slowing down and likely stopping! Poor kids!

Good job! you must be very proud of your work. It looks lovely just there under the stairs. I have some old pine furniture, I've been meaning to paint, maybe I'll get on with it now! Kath in England

So love it!

My Dad was principal of an Boston inner city school. In August he would take the station wagon and cruise the suburban school dumpsters. I remember pulling out books with slightly broken binding, chairs, blackboards, and even oak teacher's desks. They all came home to our basement where he put his kids to work cleaning, sanding, gluing, sorting...now they would call it recycling!

It looks great! I'll take that in my room, please.

I thought my kids started school late - we don't start until September 9. September 14 is really late! When do they get out?

I LOVE the new dresser. Makes me want to paint something! Thanks for the inspiration. BTW, am I still no comment? I changed some of my settings, but don't know if I did it right.

Does B want it in her room, now? I would! I am so a stop and pick crap up on the side of the road gal...my boyfriend is more of the school of thought that B shares...He refuses to stop if he's the one driving.

Looks fabulous, and i'll gladly put it in my room any time you grow tired of it!
